Rant about static site generators
Static site generators suck. Be that because they don't support XHTML, or because they mangle HTML output, or because there's no template to get an Atom feed from it, only a plugin. In any case, I'm definitely not using one. Not for this blog at least. (Besides, I'd have gone with brutalist design/no CSS anyway. Well, except that normalize.css thing, altho I'm not sure I need it.)
But hey, I have a blog! And yeah, it's a pain to maintain, because I need to manually convert everything between XHTML and Atom. But it's so much better than trying to use a crappy half-assed static site generator that's more like malware than an actual static site generator.
Good post to start a blog on, eh?
